Curtis Pulley arrested

by @ 7:32 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

It looks as if Rich Brooks decision at the QB spot this season may have gotten a little easier after Curtis Pulley was arrested on Tuesday for traffic violations, LEX18 is reporting.  Doesn’t sound too bad, right?  Until you also learn that Pulley was cited for marijuana possesion in Louisville last month, and had to enter a diversion program.  More details sure to come.

  1. JimmyJam Says:

Sad that Marijuana is still a crime. Prob because the govt cant control the growth and get their grubby little paws on the tax dollars it would generate.

  2. SagaciousMind Says:

Looks like Hartline will be the QB then. In my opinion, he should be anyway and let Pulley play WR. I hope this is the only incident…dont want UK turning out like UL, Alabama, and all the other schools football programs.

  3. BillyClyde4President Says:

Hartline’s the man. This also means Will Fidler will be in the mix. I’m excited because Pulley never impressed me anyways.

  4. BillyClyde4President Says:

I just read the article and Pulley was speeding 15 mph over on a suspended license!!!! If I was going to drive on suspended, I’d at least obey the freaking speed limit!!!! LMAO!!!!

  5. BluesMan Says:

Disappointing. Should have been a Card.

  6. sparkstoestheline Says:

Anyone else find it funny that he was found with pot in Louisville? I’m guessing he was hanging with Willie Williams.

  7. Tommy Says:

    Kick him off the team…period.

  8. JimmyJam Says:

    7) why? Marijuana? Driving w/suspended license (oh know, that card is suspended, and hes driving, what right! err, crime!)

  9. Cat Fan In Athens Says:

This is our first arrest that I can think of we are way behind a lot of the other teams in the SEC, but I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to kicking him off the team. I am all for what ever CRB decides is necessary.

  10. BigRob Says:

haha– not so funny when the shoe’s on the other foot, is it? GO CARDS!

  11. funkadelic Says:

    10. No, it’s still funny

  12. GoCats2010 Says:

    10. that means we have one toe in your HUGE shoes. Dirty cards

It was a citation not an arrest, major difference there on the marijuana charge.

In terms of SEC caliber law breaking this scores a 2 out of 10, but the program needs to be clean in the public eye.

Coach will give him a chance to “tell his side” even though I doubt that’ll help anything. Pulley is a dummy, prolly wont play now but you never know

  13. dennisfeltonsmustache Says:

JimmyJam, please stop acting like a dirty hippy

  14. E-townCatfan1 Says:

Get rid of him, don’t need this stuff with the season coming up, let Hartline do the job.

  15. GoCats2010 Says:

aww but the man is holding Jimmy back. Its the big bad government. And they would tax it and blah blah blah. I had a roomate who said that crap everyday. If you want to use it just don’t get caught, not that hard to do vast majority never get in any legal trouble. Or just move to Canada and give your entire paycheck to the government for the right to crappy healthcare and the right to smoke weed.

Still public image is key here and we all know that many players are smoking weed but we all turn a blind eye all over America but when you get caught it can be a black eye to a growing program

  16. MuhlenberCountyCAT Says:

Thats funny(and at the same time not). I obtained a DUI in Lex and had to do the whole diversion program myself. It is a community service type of deal.

It would be nice to have Pulley on the team and share time with Hartline or to play wide reciever. The kid has tons of talent but cannot seem to get his head out of his ass. I think he should be kicked off the team. One mistake and you get another chance(unless you rob a convenience store) but two mistakes and you’re gone. THe kid has so much riding on this year. We will probably see him playing for the Louisville Fire in the years to come like Lonell Dewalt. WHAT AN IDIOT.>>

  17. MuhlenberCountyCAT Says:

BOY, Hoptown produces retards. PULLEY and HOPSON. TWO DUMD F####. At least Pat Sparks graduated before he got his DUI and played for the CATS unlike HOPSON.

  18. MuhlenberCountyCAT Says:

#10 at least he didn’t rob a convenience store, or get shot up at a night club after an argument over a chick. HA HA HA HA. NOW THATS FUNNY.

  19. GoCats2010 Says:

    18. not cool, Guy is a good guy and it was his girlfriend that got grabbed on by another guy.

  20. BillyClyde4President Says:

Kick him off the team, it’s that simple. These kids are pampered and live VERY cushy lives on campus and they are responsible for their own choices. Pulley had it made, now he’s done!!! Just like Bud CRACKey.

  21. tdog28xxxxx Says:

i reported this thursday that he got arrested becuase my friends hang out with pulley and i know his dealer. i thouht it was over the weekend but they are reporting tuesday if you dont belive look at the micah post and look at my comment.

  22. tdog28xxxxx Says:

this is a shame since i know for a fact they said they where not going to hook him up no more becuase it was getting close to gametime either they gave in or his was getting it some where else.

  23. Marcs Minge Says:

Hard to worry about bad karma, when your nemesis f%cks up.

  24. bfrey Says:

A starting quarterback doesn’t do this. A starting wide receiver does.

  25. Marcs Minge Says:

This story was just a hoax. It was posted in hopes of disclosing all he closet Card fans.

  26. Cat Fan In Athens Says:

    24) That gave me a good laugh

  27. The 5 Star Dribbler Says:

Tipton reported Pulley speeding to the police.

  28. uktailg8er Says:

Is it my imagination, or did it say on here earlier Matt broke this story?

  29. Cat Fan In Athens Says:

    28) Was thinking the exact same thing, guess they realized it wasn’t popular for a UK “media” type to break this story.

  30. GottaLoveThoseCats Says:

I bet the Louisville coaching staff is really pissed that they did’nt discover Pulley first..

  31. Ryan Says:

What color is he? African American? Oh, there ya go.

  32. I Am Not Chris Robbins Says:

i think a 5 year old developed the lex website….sheesh..horrid! the menu is just terrible..

  33. gobigblue32 Says:

I watched Pulley play for Hoptown and he was the second best QB in the city. The best one was a SOPH when Pulley was a senior and played for Christian County, now he is a CB for West Virginia. I am actually happy to see this guy get in trouble, maybe he will be off the team for good now…and #17 it is pretty funny that someone from Muhlenberg County would call anyone else in the state of KY a “retard”. Go work in your meth lab now and leave the rest of us alone.

  34. ConcreteCat Says:

HARTLINE is the option and that’s it. Pulley needs to get it together but not as a leader of this team. When your getting arrested for this stuff, life is pointed the wrong direction. I hope that he learns from this, that unfortunately doesn’t always come overnight. Lost opportunities!!!

  35. ThatsWhatShe Says:

    31…..hilarious! i got it.

  36. UKalltheway08 Says:

Will Fidler will get playing time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fidler is a beast.

  37. dusty380 Says:

does this mean he ‘has’ to transfer to loserville????

    just wondering….

  38. lexblue Says:

Kick him off the team….No question.

  39. MuhlenberCountyCAT Says:

#33 Go play BBALL for UT and shut the hell up. GO play cornerback for WV and shut the hell up. The only kid we get out of the illustrious town of Hop is Pulley and he is a F*** up. Your county is full of traitors.

  40. Deebo Says:

Goodbye Mr. Pulley. You had several chances…I want a leader…not a UL transfer. I really think we’ll be better off with Hartline anyway.

  41. BravoBigBlue Says:

Artoose Pinner is from Hoptown and he did pretty well. I wouldn’t brag about being from Muhlenberg County.

  42. hr pufnstuf Says:

john prine gave muhlenberg plenty of props

  43. MemphisBleeksHairline Says:

There’s nothing wrong with smoking weed. The government needs to get it together and legalize it.

    He had traffic violations, and?

I guarantee most of you have had them at some point as well.

Ya’ll are some hypocritical, co-signing bitches.

  44. pji Says:

I guarantee Mike Hartline smokes or has smoked weed recently. If you kick people off for getting high, you won’t have much of a team left. Wake up America!!!!

  45. blueblood92 Says:

Man…I miss Woodson already. He was fairly straight-laced and seemed to understand that in the quarterback position, you have to be the leader. I am sure he made mistakes, as we all do, but you didn’t hear about it on the front page of the LHL. If you can’t follow the rules and be willing as a leader to set an example , then shuffle off to U of L, Tennessee or Memphis or just go the hell home.

Memphis, I am sure there are many people who think “There’s nothing wrong with smoking weed.” However, until it is legalized, there are laws that are meant to be followed…no matter WHO you are.

As an athlete at a major college or university you are in the public eye whether you want to be or not (most want to be). Unfortunately, that means extra scrutiny. There are folks like Tipton who LIVE for stories like this.

So, bottom line is do these athletes want to get to play ball or is smoking a joint and speeding to prove you’re a bad-ass more important? Priorities man…priorities.

  46. UKBoo Says:

44.. Many agree with you that smoking a little weed isn’t a big deal. And ya know, maybe it isn’t. But as of today it is something you can get in trouble for, so to stand out close to a busy bar and smoke it shows extremely poor judgment. Same with speeding on while not being “legal”. My sister used to get in trouble all the time. When she did, she would try to throw me under the bus by saying, “he does it too”. My mom’s response was always, “But he doesn’t get caught”. And if you think about it, there is way something to this. Not one of us on this board has not done something illegal. Why have some been caught and other not? Because some are responsible enough to understand the risk factors. And if someone is smart enough to do something and do it in a way not to get caught, they most likely are doing it in a way not to harm others. And in the end, that is why mind altering laws are in effect in the first place. This isn’t about smoking weed. This is about being responsible.

  47. hr pufnstuf Says:

these public service announcements are brought to you by boone’s butcher shop, where no one beats our meat!

  48. MuhlenberCountyCAT Says:

#41 Its all a joke don’t get to gay. I’m still pissed about Scotty Hopson going to UT.

  49. SeoulCat Says:

    #46,

    Bam. Well-said. End of discussion.

  50. GottaLoveThoseCats Says:

Funny how a weed has such a stigma attached to it. I don’t know what kind of cases M. Jones hears or represents but I’m sure he knows that the laws against marijuana is packing our prisons and taken up space that more hardened and dangerous criminals should be. Fine the kid put him on probation and community service let Brooks figure out the best punishment football wise for him and move along. If it happens again, or should I say if he gets caught again, give him a bus ticket home. Unless he has some really fine smoke and you can send him my way….

  51. toddpacker Says:

I bet lots of people on the team smoke dem trees, but most probably dont speed while driving on a suspended license.

  52. carolinacat Says:

A pattern of poor decisions, smoking grass, not taking academics seriously, not working hard enough, etc, etc. Not the kind of guy you want in the key leadership position.

  53. BIGMONEY Says:

why is erryone so quick to want him kicked off the team? weed should be legal!!! white ppl are mad they cant make buco money off it and others are

  54. BIGMONEY Says:

Erryone should be going crazy bout WLEX 18 for breaking this story like they do with that LHL dude. All this is doing is putting an unwanted mark on our program.

  55. jzoneblue Says:

hopefully the person driving was not stoned. folks get killed that way. street drugs bring no good to a persons life.

  56. kycub25 Says:

#39 aka MulenberCountyCAT, you need to get over the whole Hopson thing. I just find it funny you are dogging Christian County as a whole now and you are from Muhlenberg County and you can’t even spell it right. The best thing you have is Sparks and his DUI is look really good right now. Maybe you guys should get off the meth and produce more for the world.

  57. gobigblue32 Says:

#39 if you knew anything you would know UK also had a guy by the name of Ravi Moss who played many key rolls on the team his senior year, he was the Robert Horry of the Wildcats. Don’t get mad at Christian County and Hopkinsville for living in a crappy sports county.
