L’no, not UT
The scuttlebutt surrounding Thursday night’s hate-fest between Kentucky’s two chief rivals has been a question of forced allegiances, and the lesser of two evils. Imagine a doctor’s prognosis sounding something like, “Good news, she‘s not pregnant! But she does have the clap.” Either way, you’re going to be left scratching, so you might as well take the cream and make the best of it. In case you’re still on the fence, here’s a background. It’s just like choosing a President, people.
The coaches
Pitiner:
This is a touchy one. It’s certainly understandable why many UK fans detest ol’ Bravo with every fiber of their being, but I’m pretty much over it. I tried to hate the guy, and for a while, I even made myself believe it. Alas, I do not. The Dream ‘Weave’r happened to produced the most dominate decade of Kentucky basketball in the colored film/no-belt era. It was the absolute pinnacle of entertainment. Although stunts like the Tony Montana routine certainly make him easy to root against.
Pearl:
Every hero needs a villain, and as pro wrestling and The Joker have proven, it’s a lot more fun when they’re grotesquely over-the-top, paint their chest, and Incredible Hulk their oxford. Pearl has dutifully bellied up to the bad guy table formally occupied by the swashbuckling Dale Brown and the dashing Nolan Richardson. The parallels between Pearl and a spray-paint era Pitino, cannot be ignored. I will never like Pearl; not just for his incessant referee browbeating, incomprehension of role within history, and ‘bark >>> bite’ results, but damn it if he doesn’t make it fun. Word out of the mountain is Phil Fulmer plowed through the Picadilly Cafeteria last Sunday without being stopped once.
The Programs
Tennessee: The resurgence of the program has proven much more than fluke, as the Vols were unquestionably the most talented team in the SEC this season. So talented, they managed to precisely time their exit in the SEC Tournament almost to the hour of their average stay. The Kentucky/Tennessee border war is older than the SEC, and is, historically, the cause of much bloodshed…ok, so the bloodshed is actually a sterile, philanthropic blood-drive, but it gets nasty.
Louisville: Just like Tennessee, geography and fanbase offer convenient fodder for this healthy hatred betwixt the Bluegrass. Kentucky fans ask themselves just before bed every night, how an individual from the state of Kentucky can not cheer for Kentucky. Louisville fans ask themselves before bed every night why Kentucky faithful think they’re superior, and where can I get one of those new English L sweatbands that I’ll wear even when I’m not partaking in athletics. We’ve been over it before, and although it never gets old, I we all know where we stand.
The Players
Tennessee: Not quite the familiarity of the immortal Harris/Yarbrough/Hathaway/Black age, as the steady stream of Smith’s makes it a little more difficult to direct jeers. The Lofton factor cannot be ignored, as perhaps no other UK opponent has, or will ever be as discussed as he. Wayne Chism certainly has all the makings of a seemingly ten year UT career, but lacks the overall charm of a Major Wingate, and the charisma of a Ron Slay.
Louisville: Relatively speaking, this really isn’t the most hatable batch of Cards we’ve ever seen. David Padgett seems genuine, and by all accounts is, and to be honest, most of these players have only beaten UK once, so the hate has not really had ample time to breed. And if you can’t appreciate Derek Caracter for who he is, then you haven’t a soul, nor have you ever had to babysit a 21 year old man.

The Game
Gotta go for the SEC. Nobody said it was easy, but it’s simple geopolitics folks. Even if your wife or your best friend cheer for Louisville, or you find yourself overcome with Commonwealth pride, you just can’t do it. Stepping out on the SEC for the Big East? You might as well trade in your wife for a prostitute. UT will still suck just as hard Friday.

I first said 0-0 tie… 1-0 UT hurts, but I’ll take it
March 25th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
UT for sure. SEC over Big East. ANYBODY over Louisville!!!
March 25th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
I’m for pulling for the SEC. Not to mention if they get hot, they might just end up surprising the whole dang country and winning the whole thing. I even have them doing so in one of my tourney brackets. That in and of itself is quite hard for me. I can’t stand putting anyone else’s name on the bracket except UK. Those days of UK being a legit national pick again are coming back.
GO CATS!!
March 25th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
I am pulling for Little Brother. I want Bruce Pearl to leave UT and the sooner UT loses, the faster that happens!
March 25th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Gotta go with the Cards. UT has way more unlikable players.
Plus, I can’t root for any team that wears those stupid headbands
the way UT wears them.
March 25th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
I’m going with the Cards. Even though Pitino left, he brought us three final fours and a title, all the great pumpkin has done for the UK fan base is make us collectively vomit in our mouths
March 25th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
And tyler smith’s headband makes it look like he’s wearing a skicap indoors
March 25th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
The good thing is one of them
has to lose. The bad thing?
well you know.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
I think I would rather trade my ol’lady in for a prostitute then. Screw Brucey and his headband wearing clan. The only player on UT that I can cheer for is Lofton and that is because Tubby screwed him. However, I won’t be “cheering” for UL either but I would like them to win instead of the Vols.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:02 pm
When faced with a choice between two evils, I always go with the one that will make me more cash. The bracket says Louisville advances, so UofL it is. Plus, I can’t wait to see Pearl burst a vessel in that beet red head he is gonna have come Thursday night. You know, he might go all Mike Davis on us one of these days….
March 25th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
nicely put #10 my bracket says UL as well
March 25th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
I actually don’t find it hard to cheer for Lofton. I can’t think of one UL player I would piss on if he was engulfed in flames.
Think of it as Lofton vs T Will, not UT vs UL.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
althought my bracket is screwed and I have no chance of winning my office pool because I have the BIG BLUE winning the whole damn thing, I guess I was off a year
March 25th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
I’ll be cheering for Lofton, but not because tubby screwed him but b/c Pitino screwed him, after all this is UT v. UL not Minnesota right??? (Real UK fans cherish the past and move on, the OTS bashing is getting old)
March 25th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
Thats the only way to look at it #12
March 25th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
#9
March 25th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
blah blah
March 25th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
The TN fan pic is actually from the “redneck games” that is hosted in Dublin, Ga. Therefore, your argument is moot.
Should have used a pic of me from the ab contest……
March 25th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
I wasn’t attempting to bash the Tubster, he is a heck of a coach, he just didn’t have the balls to
recruit or fire those that were supposed to
March 25th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
I don’t think it matters who wins because the NCAA and the refs won’t get off of Coach John Woodens
nuts. They will do whatever it takes to give UCLA another title before Wooden dies, mark it down.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
The only teams left that I can truly cheer for are WKU, WVU, and maybe Davidson
March 25th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
I hate Tenn worse than anyone save dook. cant stand that freakin orange
March 25th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
#20 I believe that is the most eloquent way to explain Tubby I have ever heard.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
I don’t think of it as cheering for UT, just cheering for the SEC.
It would be 3 NCAA’s for the SEC in 3 years if UT can win it all…
and I can see UK in the near future maybe getting one. It would be
an awesome strectch of wins for the SEC.
and who do you think UL fans would cheer for? UK vs. (BIG EAST)
I still see UL winning this one, they have been playing good!
March 25th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
#23 thanks
March 25th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
I dont think Tenn would have a prayer of beating UNC. Similar styles but UNC has a better athlete at every position and would easily beat them in an up and down game.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
I’m with #6. I’m usually UK #1, SEC#2 in my cheering loyalties. But I hate Bruce Pearl and these bandwagon UT fans who never watched basketball until this year proclaiming they going to be what UK USED to be in basketball. I have to go with Pitiner; he made it fun to be a UK fan again and gave us some flat our awesome times. What makes this harder is the fact that the winner gets UNC, whom I also can’t stand, mainly because they are getting too close to us in all-time victories. My bracket has UL losing to Kansas in the Final Four. I can live with UL going to the Final Four so long as they don’t win the ring.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
UL all the way, to me they are the less of the evils, just because what Rick did to raise UK’s program back to elite status.
GO UL.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
If there were any possible way for both teams to lose I wish they’d stumble onto it. I am still pulling for the SEC school.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Why hate UofL fans just because they couldn’t get into UK?
March 25th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
Neither of these teams will be able to beat Kansas or UCLA+the refs…
There’s no way in hell UT beats UNC, whom I desperately want to see lose before the Final 4…
Loserville at least has a shot to beat UNC, so I guess I’ll have to root for UL in this one, just so they can beat UNC and then lose to Kansas.
God that was hard to say.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Root for uofl…are you kidding? I can still hear Cawood (during the open practice at Freedom Hall for the Notre Dame game that used to be played in DECEMBER years ago) introduce “Louisville’s basketball team The University of Kentucky Wildcats” and thunderous applause…and Dirk’s HI kept him from dunking all over Crum’s boys and it was awful!! Now root for Ricky P?? Maybe I am just old and set in my ways…maybe it is time to change…maybe times have changed?? NO!!
Root for ut…have you ever seen an uglier color? I mean from DeVoe to today I have always rooted for who ever is playing against DUKE, UNC, NOTREDAME, and UT…so I am in a quandry…
Maybe they won’t play the game and this old fart won’t have to choose…
John Mark
March 25th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
why does UL have a shot to beat UNC, while UT does not? UNC plays the style that UT plays, and we excel when teams play our style. We only have trouble when teams play the slow down style. UNC will not do that. In fact, I like our chances against UNC much more than against Wash. St.
I love all the doubters on here. UT may very well lose the game, but it’s quite funny that NO ONE gives us a chance. We were #1 this year, albeit for a short time. UofL never was.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:48 pm
Thats it, you were #1.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
I have to root for Tennessee for the same reason we rooted for LSU in Football this year. Always root for your conference to do well and also if UT were to win the whole thing UK fans can say we beat the National Champion.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:51 pm
Ok Macon, calm down! I think Tennessee is the better team and I hope you win. I think it will be just as hard for fans to figure out who they are rooting for when either of these teams play UNC.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
UT has a chance.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
33-I never doubted UT, I just don’t like them. I even have them winning the whole thing on one of my brackets.
I haven’t liked them since Allan Houston played for them. The only two reasons I’m pulling for them is 1-Lofton, and 2-they’re the SEC that’s left.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
For me in Nashville where UT and Coach Pearl are over saturated, I have to root for U of Hell, sadly. It basically comes down
to I picked U of Hell to win in my brackets. One Question for everybody: Is Bruce Pearl a great coach, or is he drastically
over-rated? He might be able to recruit but when has he out coached anybody not named John Calipari. He is slow to make adjustments
and does not manage games well. I would like to see what others think.
March 25th, 2008 at 1:55 pm
crawford is ranked 50th here. He hasn’t been on it all year until now.
http://www.nbadraft.net/
March 25th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
UK was in the top 25 this year, albeit for for a short time. Gardner Webb never was.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
I think I went to high school with those UL fans….being that I live in the ville I have to pull for the SEC and UT, it is awful listening to all of the UL fans talk about how great their team is and how horrible UK is…..I don’t think I can tolerate UL beating our last remaining SEC hope! I might think differently if I lived closer to TN but since I am stuck listening to it all here, GO VOLS!
March 25th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Not to mention I have the Vols in my final four in my bracket!
March 25th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
I grew up in KY and went to UK, and I’ve never understood why UK fans and U of L fans would hate each other so much that they would root for out-of-state teams against the other. SEC first? Being a Kentuckian meant more to me than being a member of the SEC. So I pull for all Kentucky teams, unless they are playing UK. It only makes the state as a whole look better, and like a more dominant basketball state, when they all do well. And nobody should hate Pitino. If he didn’t come to UK in the first place, we’d be about where we are now, sans the last two NCs. Plus, you know that if he could have come back to UK, he would have. The circumstances just didn’t allow for it.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Lofton with minor injury, don’t be scared macon: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/ncaatourney08/news/story?id=3311074
#39 Pearl is definitely a recruiter and motivator but most of their games seem crazy and hectic with no organized offense except for the occasional screen and curl of Lofton. Not trying to get macon riled up but I am not sure if Pearl is much of a half-court coach.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
As bad as it hurts to say: I’m going with the Cards.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
#44 I don’t hate Pitino but I can’t root for him. I appreciate what he did hear and I definitely enjoyed the years he was here, I went to UK from 91-96 and between Pitino and Lynagh’s pub those were the greatest years of my life but he left. Just as I was starting to forgive him for leaving, we got the “UK program will be set back 10 years” comment which seriously pissed me off. I loved the Pitino years but I am not a Pitino fan.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
I’ll be rooting for the meteorite or other large piece of space debris to crash into the building.
I had written this long and winded diatribe about the evils of both schools and fanbases but I erased it. I will simply say UT represents everything evil in this world and UofL isn’t that far behind. May they both be disqualified in some form or fashion.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
48. Tornado?
March 25th, 2008 at 2:23 pm
Well, I forgot about those Macon VolFan Pictures. I might have to root for the Vols now! Those pictures were FUNNY!
March 25th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
#49..not funny. I was there.
I’m not going to get riled up over an internet message board GoCats (#45). I’ll just wait for the game! Having watched Pearl coach close up (UT v Arky at GaTech) I can attest that he coaches the heck out of the half court on offense, but doesn’t do an incredible job at making adjustments of defense. He does well enough to win 30 game with good talent though, so I like our odds.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
the greatest part about that UL fan photo is thoe douche-nozzles are drinkin CROWN ROYAL. they are from KY and they are sippin Canadian whiskey. WOW, just wow.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
those not thoe
March 25th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
Crown Royal is the #1 selling liquor in the state of Georgia…FYI
March 25th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
#48 I am in complete agreement with that and I would be willing to give you my e-mail so I can hear your theories on the evilness of both schools.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:30 pm
Macon_Volfan, since you brought it up…I was wondering if you got into the games at Georgia Tech. Did you get in with Matt’s pass or is he allowed an entourage? Do you have your own credentials? How did you get in??
March 25th, 2008 at 2:33 pm
#56 didn’t use Matt’s pass, as it would have caused him to have his pass revoked. I don’t have credentials…I’m just a lowly middle school teacher. I do, however, know some people in the UTAD, due to living in Knoxville and going to school with some kids of UTAD upper ups, and that helps. I made a call on Saturday morning, and got on the ‘donor’ list. We didn’t use our allotment (no one did), but came close. It was incredible watching with so few people.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
I have to pull for UL. Not because I went there but because I still like Pitino and I think Pearl is a tool.
If Kentucky cant win it I hope a Kentucky team does. Go Toppers! Go Cards!
March 25th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
The thing that sucks is we will have the same dilemma with UNC vs UT/UofL. Who do we root for there?
Sucks.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Thanks Macon and don’t call yourself a “lowly middle school teacher”. I was a teacher for a couple years and enjoyed it very much but it sure doesn’t pay the bills when you have 4 kids!
March 25th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
51. I was there too. Still thankful for the kid on MSU that hit the OT shot.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
didn’t Bama force OT #51? Saved alot of lives, for sure. How many would have been out there smoking, or leaving? Wow. Hard to think about, especially after walking around out there in the damage after we were kicked out of the Dome.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
62. You’re right. Hard to imagine the disaster it could have been. Let’s just say that it didn’t seem that scary too me, but I think I owe Jock n’ Jills a lot for that.
March 25th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Pitino’s an asshole, just like when he was at UK. Pearl’s a self-righteous jerk-off (and I hate pumpkins). I’m still holding out hope that somehow, someway the Cats can manage to pull this one out.
C-A-T-S, Cats, Cats, Cats!
March 25th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
macon where is Payne, good thing this discussion has remained civil or you would be by yourself!!!!
March 25th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
When I made my earlier comment about UT not being able to beat UNC, i was basically referring to post play, where ive got a pretty good feeling the vols will get handled down low. Chism’s kind of on an island down therre, and though i think williams will end up being a good big, BIG man, he’s not there yet.
Loserville, however, does have a lot more capable big guys to D up Hansbrough down low. That’s a-what I was gettin at.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
It’s not necessary to root for or against either team. Just watch the damn game and whomever loses, rejoice. The winner will lose v. UNC anyway.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
How is Courtney Lee (#43) and Shane Foster (#44) so high on the Draft Prospect List??? Crazy!
March 25th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
#66, good points. Chism has played well as of late, and I’d like to see him make Hansbrough cry (not very difficult). I like our chances in a shootout, but if they bang low, we might be in for a hurtin’. We’ve got to get there first.
And I agree with the comment on Williams. He didn’t even play HS ball!!!!! (only AAU)
Also, not sure where Payne is. He might not have a free-ish day (Parent-Teacher Conf.) like me
March 25th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
68.) Foster is where he should be IMO he is a great shooter but doesn’t offer much else. Lee on the other hand should be an early second rounder and will be a still for some team. Everything shakes up come workout time.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
im sorry that is *steal not still
March 25th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
I am a die hard uk fan and I am pulling for louisville, wku and xavier…..
i am not trying to sound like a state of ky guy but i have no qualms pulling for u of L..go redbirds
i despise tenn..that is one sec team that i do not mind seeing loose all the time.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
This stupid board won’t let me post.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
There we go. I tried to post earlier but it must have gotten lost in the ether. I really don’t see how this is even an argument. All you guys keep telling me and macon that Tennessee is a flash in the pan, so we would you care if we made it past the Sweet 16 for the first (and in your eyes the only) time in school history? You should cheer for the SEC. Secondly, how can you call yourself a Cats fan if you would rather see Rick Pitino and the Cards go to another Final 4? It seems like a no brainer, you should be pulling for the Vols.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
74 Do you pull for UK when they are in the tournament?
March 25th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
Choosing between Louisville and Tennessee is easy. It’s Louisville and Pitino is coaching. Go Vols.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
I pull for all of the SEC teams in the postseason (football and basketball). It sucks for the SEC to only have one team in the Sweet 16 this year. If it were possible, I would want it to be an all SEC Final 4 every year.
March 25th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
not to mention that I am married to a diehard Cat fan and would put my life at risk if I cheered against Kentucky
March 25th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
The way I see it, there is never an excusable reason to cheer for Louisville. Never.
March 25th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
in case you are wondering…yes, the two TN boys went to KY and found wives…..
March 25th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
There he is!!! Payne Im with you and Macon on this one. It is stupid not to root for the SEC, especially in a year like this when everyone talks smack about the cats getting 12 wins in a weak conference. UL put it to us, we beat TENN. a UT win legitimizes a rebound season for the cats and makes it seem like a much bigger turnaround than people are giving us credit for. Besides you cant tell me it wouldnt be nice to know that we beat the NATL champs at home and gave them all they wanted at home. It beats the hell out of UNC or UL winning, and sure as hell beats UCLA putting up another banner. GO VOLS!!!!! (a little throw-up just came out) but….. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!
March 25th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
also, the SEC announced a refund policy for ticket holders to the tourney. See SECsports.com for details. You’ll get back at most $125. Payne, we should just mail the books to UT I think. I would like to keep them for nostalgia though…
March 25th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
80.) Thats no surprise …. Kentucky is world reknown for its breeding ….. horses, and women.
March 25th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
#79 100% agree, cannot see any conceivable reason to root for Louisville. You can’t even say State pride because it is the Louisville fans that say they are not a part of Kentucky. Possibly if Louisville played Duke but in that case I would definitely hope for the Meteorite scenario.
March 25th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
Dose anybody know anything about this guy Roderick Flemings? the cats pause web site says he has set a visit with the cats…
March 25th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
[...] have Mack Daddy Bruce Pearl and on the other, you have the Ego that Roared. Whatever. I just hope Bruce wears orange and Pitino wears white. Is that too much to ask? digg_url = [...]
March 25th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
Roderick Flemings seems to be a backup to Scotty Hopson. Looks like BCG has lotsa backups if we lose Josh Harrellson and Scotty Hopson.
Verdell Jones, Flemings, Ater Majok, Bud mackey and Brad Tinsley to name a few.
Hail Mary’s are IU recruits Devin Ebanks and Terrell Holloway
March 25th, 2008 at 5:50 pm
Fellow citizens of Big Blue Nation:
This week, we are all Volunteers.
March 25th, 2008 at 5:55 pm
88 Talk for your self, I am not a pearl fan.
once was a patino fan so it wouldnt hurt my feelings if they had 20 or so OT’s….
March 25th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
OH yeah thanks for the info AZ Blue…
March 25th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
When I was living in other parts of the country I might have rooted for Louisville, but after moving back I’ve run into the most obnoxious fans in the world and they are Louisville fans, so I’ll be for Tennessee.
March 25th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
screw uofl and their bandwagon fans…tennessee is the team to cheer for in this one…i could honestly say that if duke played uofl i would be a dukie for 1 game
March 25th, 2008 at 7:33 pm
I won’t cheer for either team, but would much rather UL win. Pearl makes my skin crawl.
March 25th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
Does this mean I have to cheer for Florida to beat ASU in the NIT?
March 25th, 2008 at 9:50 pm
i do not cheer for ANY billy donovan or ANY florida team….EVER.
i would only cheer for loserville if they were playing PUKE university. i hate tennessee but i hope they beat the Kige Ramsey outa loserville.
March 25th, 2008 at 10:45 pm
I normally go SEC but I got money involved (albeit $10) I gotta go Cards. I feel so dirty!
March 25th, 2008 at 11:26 pm
Definitley going with the VOLS. I always pull for the SEC even when it is UT plus UofL people are way to overconfident. A point I have never heard brought up is the fact that how in the world did Oklahoma get a 6 seed. With two weeks left in the regular season it was a ? mark whether they would get in the big dance and then all of a sudden they are a 6 seed. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I also think that the first two matchups in BSU of OU were great matchups for UofL because they were so slow and UofL strength is their speed. The only times UT has lost this season were games that didn’t take seriously and it was evident from the get go in those games. They won’t be overlooking UofL considering how the CARDS have put the beat down on people lately. I hope UT spanks them. I hate UofL. I hate UT too but alot less. People say UT has very unlikeable players WHAT ABOUT UofL. T Freakin Will what a retard. Do I even have to say anything about NO Character and Earl The AA Dirk Nowitski Clark what a softy and Edgar Headcase Sosa. The only two players that are final four worthy on that team are Mcgee and Padgett.

#91 I agree when I lived back home I would have pulled for UofL but since I have moved to Louisville and their fans are rediculous. They hate the CATS so bad and love to start any rumor about us. They actually think they are on our level. REDICULOUS I KNOW>>>

I would also like to see Chris Lofton have some success in the tourny for once.

#42 I don’t think you went to HS with those guys, because I recognized them immmediatly, and I went to an all guys HS.
On the topic however, I cheer for the game to be a double disqualification. I don’t want to hear L fans brag about winning. And pulling for T means pulling for that damn song to be played and that is somthing that I could just not possibly do.

I don’t care about the Big East vs. the SEC. I’m a UK and WKU fan. I refuse to root for traitor Lofton and UT. He could’ve walked on at UK if he were a real man. Can’t stand the Pearl man. I’ll root for UL over UT. UT cannot beat UNC and I sure hate them too! Lots of hate in the air this time of year…………….
