Harken back a few months to the end of the Patrick Patterson recruitment. As we were getting the last of the in-home visits from Billy Clyde, Billy D and Coach K, stories would drift out about how these visits were handled. We heard of the professionalism of Billy D, the tireless work ethic of Billy Clyde…..and the tears of Coach K. Yes, if you remember the Pattersons commented on the fact that Coach K cried in their house….and I remember one conversation with Patrick in particular where he seemed to find that whole display a bit….well…..unconvincing. Well it seems that the act is still in full “go” mode. This week, Elliot Williams, a great young player from Tennessee picked the Blue Devils over the Vols (talk about a terrible twosome) and was quoted as saying that when he told Coach K, the Coach “got teary-eyed.” Awww, isnt that sweet. 17 year old kids coming to your school makes you cry…..Coach K, you are so sensitive…..

No one cares about ‘1st’ posters. Just like no one cares about Duke - they could go on a UCLA-esque title run and still be the ugly duckling of the NCAA.

WTF? Coach K has some belonging and security issue. Then again, maybe he’s a fag and was really really really really really happy he got the one he wanted to look at for a few years. Who knows. It’s all a bit disturbing and raises alot of questions about his mental state.

Well he’s just an emotional guy. It does seem a little odd, though, that these recruits don’t seem to mind. You’d think it would put them off.

Coach K and Duke have lost theri “Magical Appeal”. when you resort to trying in order to get kids to commit you have obviously tried all other options and they didnt work.

9) There are plenty of things that amuse me more. But watching people get torn up about people
posting first is pretty damn funny too. I think those people, including yourself are the ones

6) i don’t think they have a huge fanbase, i think its more that they are typically always good. always in the top 10, always in the news, always getting big commits. while i think ESPN does play favorites, it makes sense why they put a highprofile, winning team on TV all the time.

Coach K is a big baby. I never realized a man that went to West Point could be such a sissy. Who cries, honestly? I would think crying in front of recruits would make him look dumb. I know I’d probably laugh at him. Oh well, he’s probably just crying because he knows his precious Duke team is going to suck and be beat out 1st round of the tourny again…haha that was funny last season.

UK could win all the time too if the team only played a home and neutral court schedule against the bottom of the NCAA. Duke gets to play Maryland and UNC and that is their tough schedule. The above normally would lead to 2 losses a year since the refs in Cameron Nerdcore arena wear Duke patches on their sleaves. Of course I think Duke is on their downward slide since deputy dog has K’s number. Old Hansbrough is going to have two career games against that monster inside play of Zoubek.

i said it many times. the Duke program is a Cult….Patterson was too smart to be convinced to go to the dark side….i remember those girls with tight skirts that were the trainers for duke in the 80’s and 90’s..they at behind the players..you know the girls had an extra job to keep those boys happy….just imagine what mikey does…i know for darn sure mikey beats mickey..they always show during march madness games and she is crying..she knows darn well if they loose she is getting a beating that night.
the only good thing that place is good for is saving peoples lives with the medical and producing find lawyers like matthew jones..
