July 30th, 2007 at 11:14 pm
Holy Cow, what a watered down schedule!
July 30th, 2007 at 11:15 pm
Any word on Scotty Hopson transferring to Clarksville High (TN) to play with AAU teamate Tyrone Caldwell? Would like more info if possible?
July 30th, 2007 at 11:16 pm
Saved the best for last at Rupp on March 9th OH YEAH!!!!!!!
July 30th, 2007 at 11:16 pm
I have seen minor league teams on buses that travel more than these guys.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:17 pm
Wow, that’s some weak $#1t. Good thing they didn’t dodge UMass or they’d be accused of cowardice…
July 30th, 2007 at 11:19 pm
North Florida? Didn’t they play Louisiana U in The Waterboy? T
July 30th, 2007 at 11:20 pm
that is an absolute great picture, these must have been the guys Patterson met when he decided to come to UK instead of going to florida.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:21 pm
Nice pic. so many embarrassing things… not only is that guy sporting the cheap light brewski, he took the coozy off so we could see the label. homemade cut-off jean shorts and t-shirt w/ matching wristband and mullet are an added bonus. rokk on gatorz!
July 30th, 2007 at 11:26 pm
do you think these guys were aware they were at a florida sporting event or did they just wear the orange clothing to take the focus off that dudes hair?
July 30th, 2007 at 11:26 pm
10 - lol. and for floridians they are woefully pale.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:26 pm
Does florida get to use the money they save with no travel expenses toward recruiting??
July 30th, 2007 at 11:28 pm
Quick question– #14 jersey in the background, guy or girl?
July 30th, 2007 at 11:38 pm
The dude on the left is a virgin.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:41 pm
#14 he will stay a virgin until he pays for it.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:43 pm
looks like more of pitino’s influence on donovan w/scheduling like that. i mean i realize i’m biased here but that schedule is absolutely embarrasing and WEAK for a 2 time defending national champion basketball team!
July 30th, 2007 at 11:44 pm
HOLY WHAT THE F***
Gators are pathetic. This schedule is laughable. They have their other 98% of games to prepare for UT and UK. Sad thing is they are going to win most of these games and still land a high seed- just because of coming off back to back NCs. Donovan has a reason for this schedule. Sad part is that they don’t have more pride than that.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:46 pm
that is embarrassing for any season ticket holders at the swamp. remember the only two games that they sold out last year coming off a national championship was the ohio state game and our game. now they dont even have the ohio state game. i guess they will only sell out once.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:50 pm
All 5,000 season ticket holders ha ha ha
July 30th, 2007 at 11:51 pm
Man, Florida has a real shot of not making the tournament because of the low RPI they will have because of this schedule. Also, the SEC is down next year as a whole. We won’t be the top conference like last year.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:52 pm
Isn’t it sad that Noah is uglier than both those guys?
July 30th, 2007 at 11:55 pm
They will be 14-0 on Dec.22. All the polls will reflect this. It is a shame.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:55 pm
wow… that is a terrible schedule… they will probably only have one loss going into the SEC (Ohio State). Billy Donovan should be ashamed of himself.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:58 pm
#20 i dont think there is any chance that florida doesnt make the tourney with that schedule.
July 30th, 2007 at 11:58 pm
Man, who knew the crew from Reno 911 were Gator fans?
July 31st, 2007 at 12:01 am
That is just plain awful. I mean really…
July 31st, 2007 at 12:02 am
Is that Matt Bonner’s dad?
July 31st, 2007 at 12:03 am
I think this cake schedule is only going to hurt them in the long run. I’m sure during the season you will hear all the analysts on TV talking about how easy their schedule is. I mean I understand him going with an easy schedule because of an inexperienced team, but playing cake teams does not help them get any better. Donovan is hurtin his team by not preparing them for the big games. It will reflect in the season and hopefully if they do go undefeated for awhile, the polls will realize how crappy their schedule is and won’t give them any credit.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:07 am
I doubt that those guys are actually Florida fans. If you look in the back ground you can tell that they are surrounded by UGA fans and if you have ever been to that game then you know that UGA and UF fans spend no time together drinking and taking pictures. Nevertheless Florida fans suck and are all d-bags.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:12 am
Could they get North Bullitt, Senaca, and Henry Clay on that schedule to toughin it up a bit.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:15 am
#7. So did Loserville. The Waterboy crushed their QB.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:16 am
I’d give 5 bucks for one of those Natural Lites right now from that dude w/ the sweet mullet.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:20 am
That has to be the weakest schedule i’ve seen in a very long time for a big name program.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:26 am
Florida will be this years version of Clemson…start off really well and end up playing in the NIT.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:29 am
20…the sec was sort of down last year and should be a lot better this year…Aside from Florida the rest of the teams in the SEC East are all improved from last year. And in the very mediocre West Alabama, and Arkansas should be decent.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:29 am
Ohio State in Columbus is not difficult? Matt?
July 31st, 2007 at 12:35 am
35, I agree with you. Mississppi State should be good this year too because of Jamont Gordon. LSU will be better, Ole Miss will probably drop off some cuz they lost a few players, and even Auburn should be a more experienced team. The east will definitely be the better of the two with all teams in the east with a legitimate shot at the NCAA tourny. I think the SEC will still be one of if not the toughest conference. Just like in football. The south rules!
July 31st, 2007 at 12:43 am
Looks a whole lot like UConn’s perennial non-conference schedule. Krispy Kreme soft.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:51 am
Look at the pic, it’s Dr. Bob and his understudy!
July 31st, 2007 at 12:55 am
I hate Florida
July 31st, 2007 at 1:28 am
Look it’s Matt Bonner and Teddy Dupay all grown up.
July 31st, 2007 at 2:19 am
That guy’s armpit hair has bedhead
July 31st, 2007 at 2:40 am
How the hell do you live in FL & not have any tan? EEEWWWW Bet these guys’ names are Casper & Troll. Doesn’t the short one remind you of something that would jump out from under a bridge? Classic Matt. I love the photo’s humor.
July 31st, 2007 at 2:40 am
That schedule? I bet we don’t hear anymore belly-aching about the weakness of UK’s schedule! That’s pathetic, guess ol’ Donavan decided he needed to get in the good graces of his fans by winning a bunch of games~ won’t lose his job that way. You know the media won’t bother mentioning how weak this schedule is b/c Billy D’s their darling. He is planning on getting them to gel & working on team play, confidence & wins in the beginning of the season. He’ll regret not playing some calibur teams in the non-conference once SEC time rolls around. It will be hilarious to watch them lose a couple of those gimme games! Can’t wait! Sounds like FL is headed back to its norm in the basketball world: non-existent. I bet that PP will be giving Jai some sh*t!
July 31st, 2007 at 6:44 am

July 31st, 2007 at 7:23 am
In a just world, the guy on the left with the red mullet is wearing cowboy boots to complete the effect. That would be the total package.
July 31st, 2007 at 8:12 am
That sure looks like Jeremy Piven with a beard.
July 31st, 2007 at 8:17 am
Are you sure there this isn’t a mistake? The non-conference games look like a high school schedule.
July 31st, 2007 at 8:23 am
Cupcakes to the point of making the hostess twinkie company look like a 2nd rate company.
http://www.hostesscakes.com/products.asp
July 31st, 2007 at 8:30 am
45 no comparison this years is even more of a cupcake
July 31st, 2007 at 8:55 am
Let them be a paper Top 5 team when we play them. It’ll make us look better when we beat them.
July 31st, 2007 at 9:01 am
Obviously there is more than one road to the Final Four. But still, those schedules are awful.
July 31st, 2007 at 9:04 am
It will be interesting to see if the selection committee will make them pay for this come march.
July 31st, 2007 at 9:05 am
Pitino would be proud of that one. He always loved the cupcakes.
July 31st, 2007 at 9:09 am
Where’s Dr. Bob with his comments now?
UF might as well be a D-II school with the first half of this schedule.
July 31st, 2007 at 9:18 am
And they say we have REDNECKS in AL. That is one of the funniest pictures I have ever seen.
Great Stuff!!
Florida has to have a cupcake schedule this year, they have a cupcake team.
July 31st, 2007 at 9:24 am
I saw this pic a few months ago and cracked up at it. Florida fans have NO right to ever call UK fans rednecks. This proves that there are rednecks everywhere, especially Florida apparantly. The schedule is a joke, but with the recruiting class Donovan brought in, it was a good idea on his part to get ready for the SEC schedule. He will be able to build confidence in his team and let his young players develop..with that being said, they are going to get their ass kicked by UK!
July 31st, 2007 at 10:36 am
Donovan should be ashamed of this one.
Degree of difficulty: 0
Here are some prediction for you:
UK by 8 in Gainesville
UK by 20 @ Rupp
Florida A&M by 4
They will lose more than three just because of inexperience.
Class act, Billy D.
I am glad you stayed put. I could not live with UK having this schedule.
July 31st, 2007 at 10:52 am
Remember UCONN’s schedule last year .. it was similar .. then they lost the ONLY tough game they had and flopped in the big East and didn’t even make the NIT .. I’d say it’s 50-50 at best for them to make the dance .. if both UK and UT sweep them they will have a difficult time getting to .500 in the SEC
July 31st, 2007 at 11:11 am
I think UK would go 27-4 with that schedule this year.
July 31st, 2007 at 12:17 pm
what is their RPI and strength of schedule, is there anyway to know this early
July 31st, 2007 at 12:19 pm
there is nothing wrong with cheap beer though, Natty Light is the best, who is the hottie wearing number 14 on the left, seriously is that a dude, those stories about good lookin Florida girls is bogus
July 31st, 2007 at 1:15 pm
is that LT. Dangle on the right??
July 31st, 2007 at 2:30 pm
Wow, weak tan.
July 31st, 2007 at 3:12 pm
#50 - last year SOS for Florida OOC schedule:
Florida 13-2 #159 (using RPI)
Florida .5604/#145 (using KenPom math formula)
July 31st, 2007 at 4:08 pm
AN absolute JOKE of a schedule!
July 31st, 2007 at 4:31 pm
I hope you do this for the Vols when they release their schedule so we can all be in awe of how huge Pearl’s cojones are.
July 31st, 2007 at 5:35 pm
light beer and a light schedule. Light beer is for losers.
July 31st, 2007 at 10:46 pm
Why doesn’t Florida trade the Ohio State game with St. Mary’s School for the blind? They have such an easy schedule, that it’s ridiculous! But when you lose EVERYTHING, I guess you do what you can to keep the “winning tradition”, a “winning tradition”.
August 1st, 2007 at 3:07 am
WOW!!! Amazing that they got such an easy schedule… Too bad that they will lose to some of those unherd of teams!!! HAHA Yea thats sad. I just cant wait till the cats beat em like a drum.
