When I saw this video on the blog With Leather (and now Deadspin), it made me laugh…..a lot. This is from the Preakness and it shows the new sport of “Port a John racing” in which individuals run across the tops of Port-a-Johns while drunks throw beer at them and try to knock them off. And you folks wonder why I said the Preakness was a bit less “classy” than the Derby…..
As crazy as the Derby is….the Preakness infield is even odder:

We were watchin this from the Grandstand and it kept us entertained between races. Some of them took some nasty falls. It was really surprising how classless it was, we totally over dressed thinking Keeneland or Derby.

Velocity had some pictures of a guy doing this at the Derby infield. I never realized that people were supposed to throw things at them, though. That makes more sense.

When did the Preakness infield become a bigger party than the Derby infield??? Something needs to be done about this development. That just isn’t right…

The Preakness isn’t for horses, it’s for asses, like those Maryland Terp people running around like idiots. It’s a bigger party because they allow you to take in your own alcohol and well, go to a Maryland game and you’ll find out why.
