I don’t really have a topic that fits with the title but it was too good not to use. So, it has been a while since yours truly has posted on ye olde blog. New jobs, residences, and roommates (Hubby and TIVO) have made it tough to get focused on what is truly important- posting random thoughts on message boards.
I mentioned this on the soon to be posted radio show, but the only great performance on the court at Rupp this past Saturday was given by a group of 4th-8th grade girls during halftime: The Firecracker Precision Jump Rope Team out of Cinci. Who would even think to incorporate jumping rope and break dancing, least of all with a group of girls so lily white that Fox News posted an alert when one went to the restroom too long. They performed at a level for the duration of their 10 minute exhibition that our offense has not and probably will not achieve this season. I must admit, we all got served. They genuinely earned the standing ovation that the full house at Rupp bestowed upon them at the conclusion of their routine. Kudos to you ladies- I only hope you took Sheray aside before you left and demonstrated to him the art of getting into the proper position and jumping at the same time. If you get a chance, go see them.

Given last season’s results, this pre-season’s expectations and the subsequents improvement and 10-game winning streak….what in the mother f### does it take to please some of our “fans”?

It does not make sense to continue to cut on Thomas. He has done some good things on the floor. When he struggles Tubby places him on the bench. He is not a star, but he does contribute whether it be by rebounding, passing, breaking the press, or a clutch shot. He seems to do his best in the clutch.

The team is doing better than last year and the defense is even better. But…at critical times I’m not seeing a lot of improvement on the offensive end. When Joe is hitting and taking shots within the offense (especially working the inside out game) we look very good. When he’s not hitting or reverts back to the one on five put your head down and drive to the basket no matter what (which he did a couple of times Sat night)…we have problems.
This team does show lots of potential and I look forward to every game. I think if we show up and click on all cylinders we can beat anyone in the SEC and the country. If we aren’t clicking and are doing a lot of bouncing the ball with no movement….we can get beat by anyone in the SEC. If Joe continues his understanding and improvement along with Morris and Bradley’s outstanding play (love Bradley’s mindset and defensive play), I look for good things come tournament time. I do believe there will be a set back or two along the way but hopefully we will play hard in those games and bounce back the next game.
Or are we allowed to only post 100% positive, everything is perfect posts?

9, it must be entertaining enuff for you to get on here and talk about it. sheray is one of the few people on this team who makes me cringe when he comes off the bench. i guess it is refreshing to see him do something worthwhile because of our lowered expectations. are you going to honestly hold to pre-season expectations at this point? where is coach k now?

I read this site because it’s FREE and has better recruiting content than the premium sites, IMO.
Buy beyond that, I don’t find most of the other “info” anything more insightful than the casual fan’s and less entertaining..
but I’ll continue to read it at my discretion and continue to not give a shyte about your’s or anyone else’s opinion on my participation.
Kinda like Mat, et al don’t give a shyte about whether ot not I’m here or if i approve of their “insights”.

those firecracker girls at the game were freaking awesome. I cant figure out how they get thos eoung kids to coordinate such a long really hard routine like that. It was definitley one of the better half time acts we have had at Rupp this year. I just wish the dance team could have performed for Patrick.
