A source close to the situation has told us that Stud wide-out Keenan Burton will remain a Wildcat. UK has a press-conference planned for tomorrow where Burton will officially announce his intentions to remain in Lexington, but we decided we’d surppress the anxiety a little. Huge news as even Burton’s father admitted a few days ago to Kentucky Sports Report that he didn’t even know the his son’s intentions. Experts agreed Burton is NFL-caliber, but with the WR pool already rife with early entrants like Robert Meachum, Sidney Rice, Dwayne Jarrett, and Calvin Johnson, Burton may have slipped further than he would’ve liked. Plus, how could you not want to keep riding this wave of momentum that’s flooding the football offices these days?

With Keenan back, UK has a scary, scary offense next year. The ‘Cats and Gators appear to have the top two units in the SEC. Woodson, Burton, and Tamme will be pre-season 1st team All-SEC with Little a possibility as the AP player. Johnson and Williams may get mention on some pre-season lists on the OL. UK has not had that kind of talent in a long, long, long time.

Fantastic news if it holds true.
The Cats would still have been good, but with him, can be even better than this year on offense.
Also, if he can stay healthy, he’ll dramatically increase his stock.
Every returning yard he gets his senior year will be more bucks, as well.
